Kyna means Wise One

Kyna came to us in October.
She had just weaned her litter of puppies and was ready to recover.

First, she shed her stiff, dry coat. Then the weather turned cold and I was  really worried about her being able to stay warm. She did just fine. Now she has a beautiful, soft and curly coat.

This picture doesn't do her justice.
She is absolutely beautiful and will be on her way to her new home on Friday.
We will miss her!

Kyna is really enjoying the snow. Good thing, because we have plenty.

Here she is in her window again. Great view in all directions. The squirrels don't have a chance.

There has been a change of plans!

Cree has let us know that she is staying with us.

She really likes being in the bay window and watching the squirrels.

And the dog pillow in the corner with the DVDs is now hers.

We will be getting another foster dog on October 30th.

Our new foster dog

We have Cree now.
Cree means heart.
She is one scared little dog, but there are already glimmers of trust.

This is a picture that was sent to me.
I haven't been able to get a good one yet.

Kelly (Ceallach) is the first!

This was the first day.
Kelly wasn't sure he was going to like this place.
He didn't back up, but he didn't come closer either.

Bandit, our resident furry buddy, was a very good role model.
He shared his toys and gave Kelly something to follow and copy.

Kelly was very patient. He liked to sit by the door and wait for the squirrels to stop by.

Before we knew it, he was coming when called and getting excited about food and treats and chasing Bandit all over the yard and ...

then he was ready for his forever home.

We miss him, but I think he is really happy in Grand Marais. He even gets to winter in Texas. Lucky dog!!
